Portrait Photography has traditionally meant 'Studio' Photography. A high key (white) background is very popular and completes that professional 'look'.  Some people however, prefer a more natural approach - whether it be a single person, couple, or indeed a family group, the Studio is often swapped for a location where the subject feels more at home.
